I bought the phone and then went to Verizon to activate it. Buying the unlocked phone and then going where you want to activate is easy and cheaper. We got to pick a plan that worked best for us. Verizon also offers Veteran discounts.

I was initially going to use prepaid T-Mobile but was cheaper & better deal to use T-Mobile monthly Magenta w/o contract, didn't realize that they offered this option. Great deal & with airline wifi, unlimited international data, text & calling for additional $15.00. T-Mobile store set up my new Moto 7 & transfered my old cell info with ease. Moto 7 came with sim. Overall best deal.
