It depends on how much data you actually use. My plan wasn't unlimited, so for me this was worth it. Most people were not paying for unlimited data. Also, in some places or services, you get unlimited data, but not all 4G, about 18-22GB in 4G then you are nerfed to 3G. So the 2G would most likely be 4G.
