I do not know the exact number of lights but I can tell you there are plenty, you will be happy. The lights are multicolored, you can turn the whole tree green, purple, etc with just a voice command. The lights can also be multicolor and change in different patterns. I think there are about six colors and maybe five patterns which you can use in any way you want.
