• There is a little knob above the pot, below the clock. It is an "adjustment" but because I keep it set in the middle (factory default) I am not sure whether it adjusts heat or length of time the pot is kept warm.

• Yes, the coffee pot sets on a warming plate, and the temperature is adjustable (the control knob is located just above the coffee pot).
