- Answer I have only seen it happen when I overfill my coffee maker. The tube is a mechanism to maintain a good water level.

- Answer Have you tried contacting Mr. Coffee directly? The problem is that if they do have just the carafe it will probably cost about the same as a whole new unit.

- Answer It probably needs cleaning! I experienced this with my MR. COFFEE just yesterday and after cleaning, everything was fine. I used vinegar. It now brews fine again. Check the attached manual for troubleshooting on Cleaning and Maintaining your Coffe Maker and follow the instructions.
