I can access my other google devices through it such as my google nest doorbell and my google thermostat, so maybe that is why. Other than that, I can connect my phone to it and display things through bluetooth.

I can watch YouTube TV, YouTube, listen to YouTube music, see my Google camera feeds, talk on the phone with my Fi phone service, call everyone to dinner via other Google speakers throughout the house. It is literally the hub of Google activity.
