You can send texts but it wouldn't be displayed till you close it. The message is visible only for a few seconds.

Your message will display on your Nest Hub and they can reply to the message. Here's how: - Say “Hey Google.” - Say a command. For example, “Create a Family Note” or “Leave a Family Note that we're out of toothpaste. Keep in mind that Family Notes are only available on Google Nest displays and Google Assistant smart displays.
