“Hello, I am confused between what the website and comments refer to as a Nest "POINT Range Extender" and a router. I purchased the 2 pack for $199 and then an extra "point" for $150 but the box label calls the extra item a Router?”

Nest Wifi router comes with a fast processor, and a 4x4 radio to cover a large area (up to 2,200 sq.ft.) while the Nest Wifi point is like an extender which you will connect to the Nest Wifi router wirelessly to create a whole Wi-Fi mesh system.

The extra point will work of the router you got with the 199.00 two pack

That is actually the WiFi part. What you need is the Google nest point to extend WiFi it’s about $89 I think.
