• Yep. You'll need a modem to supply the internet to your home first. Most times, that's supplied by your internet provider like Verizon DSL or the cable company, etc... Once you have internet set up, The Nest system is hooked to that and creates your WiFi network / Google Home set up.

• This is only a router and you will need a separate modem that is provided by your Internet provider in order for it to work. The router uses ethernet cable to plug directly into the internet modem provided by your ISP.
