Nest Wifi replaces your traditional router to provide Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home. But, your Wi-Fi speed will rely on your current Internet speed and reception provided by your internet service provider (ISP).

The Nest system (like any other wireless router set up) can only work with the signal provided. I would search for other providers in your area to see if you can get better service from Donnie else. Although, that may cost more if you can get it.

If 7 mbps is the top speed offered by your ISP then that is the max speed you'll be able to get and the Google Nest will not be able to increase that as only your ISP could do that. However, the Google Nest should be able to help you get 7 mbps all throughout your house while using WiFi.
