I had the Verizon modem and router before and all I did was unplug the network cable (coming from the Verizon box in my garage) from their modem / router and plugged it directly into my Nest router and completed the easy setup. After that, I instantly noticed the difference in speeds and connection using the Nest Wi-Fi and Point.

We recommend connecting Nest WiFi router directly to your modem's WAN port to establish your Wi-Fi mesh network, then disable the Wi-Fi functionality of your AT&T combo by putting it in Bridge mode to avoid any Double NAT as this may cause connectivity issues.
