Nest WiFi works with most ISPs including Xfinity/Comcast. Google Nest Wifi router can help distribute the full speed it receives from your modem with its faster processor, and its 4x4 radio can help cover larger areas. Moreover, you have an option to prioritize a device (e.g Xbox, laptop) with the Priority Device feature that gives a device of your choosing the fastest connection on your Wi-Fi network. This means less buffering and better download speeds. You can find more info here: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/6246483 If your modem is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling its Wi-Fi functionality to avoid a Double NAT that may cause issues while gaming online.

I download from various gaming services on my PC and consoles with no issues and excellent speed, as well as frequent streaming/video confrencing through Discord. I have the 500mbps speed tier from Xfinity and a personal Arris modem (not a modem/WiFi combo). Just note that the WiFi point (not the main router) has a slightly lower speed compared to the main router, but nothing significant.
