Yes. Nest Wifi replaces your traditional router and connects directly to a modem via WAN port with an Ethernet cable to get an internet connection from your ISP. If your modem is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of the combo to avoid a Double NAT case which may cause connectivity issues.
