Yes, Nest Wifi router can work with your Cox Wi-Fi modem. You can set it up by hardwiring it to the WAN port of your modem as your primary router. If you have a modem/router combo, then we recommend disabling the combo's Wi-Fi functionality by putting it in Bridge mode to avoid a Double NAT which may cause connectivity issues. You can find out more about Bridge mode and Double NAT here: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/6240987
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could, but it seems extraneous to have more than one WiFi network. If you’re looking specifically to improve coverage throughout your home, I would look at a WiFi extender product instead, since that may be cheaper than a full mesh system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Assuming you’re existing WiFi has an Ethernet port you can plug in to, the base station puck will connect to it. Then, Goggle Home will become your new WiFi attach point. You’ll have one puck at your existing WiFi location and one (or two if you bought a 3-pack) to move around your house.
