I don’t see why that would be an issue. I have my connected similarly. I have the connection from the cable service provided modem plugged into the Orbi and then feed the connection back into the hub to distribute to the other devices. Have not had any slow down issues or problems at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do not need this switch to connect your Orbi to your modem, just connect the Orbi directly to the modem. If however, you need more hardwired ethernet connections aside from the one(s) provided to you by the Orbi, then yes, you'll need this switch. If you have a Spectrum modem/router combo, I suggest you return it and ask for only a modem and save yourself the Wi-Fi charge from them. Your connection should be as follows: modem, Netgear Orbi, switch, then all ethernet capable connected devices such as PS4, Apple TV, TV, etc.
