“Does this act as the modem ? I have satellite internet and my line coming into home is Ethernet. Do I plug to this then to router ?”

• No it is not a modem. You may have this solved by now, but it is just a device to give you more LAN ports. If your incoming Internet connection is an Ethernet cable, you don’t actually need a modem.

• This is not a mocem. You connect it to one of the output ports on the router and you then have 4 ports for connecting other devices.
