• Yes, that's all it takes, easy plug and play. Plug the feed and devices into any port. Keep in mind that speed is dependant of the total number of devices used by everyone in the dorm.

• This is exactly how I use it. One port connected to my wall, one port connected to my xbox, and a third connected to my cable box.
