“Will this adapter cut out? I had a TP-Link adapter that cut out every 5 minutes when I downloaded stuff so I'm wondering if there are any issues involving this one cutting out.”

never cuts out for me ever

Please try again later.No this adapter has NOT cut out on me; this NetGear AC1200 High Gain WiFi USB Adapter has been great so far and slows a little when the wife is on her Kindle, my daughter is on her Mac and the 2 grandchildren are on laptops and/or cellphones. Spectrum's big old Router/Modem/Telephone unit has been functioning well and I may buy our own unit down the line; at least with it I don't need my range extender and have the other problems I had with AT&T and their cheap router/modem and lousy service...
