Windows 10 does recognize the device as a wireless device, however, the drivers do a MUCH better job than Windows when connecting to the network. Not sure why you don't want to download the drivers but that would be the way to go.

Any of them that come with a disc will typically force you to run it first for use. But if Im not mistaken there would probably be a way to go to the netgear website and possibly download directly the same files and program the cd would contain.... just a thought,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used this item on 2 different computers (both running Windows 7). I did have to install the software for the adapter to work. Then it worked beautifully!
