I have done the samething you have. the connection is great! The connection is just like an ethernet cable is pluged in. I run everthing wirelessly and my desktop runs online with the AC1200 perfectly. Ruben

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This device should work fine for playing MMO's, however keep in mind that other factors can influence your wifi signal as well. Wifi is great when you need to be portable and/or are unable to run cables. That being said, if you are able to run a cable to a device it will reduce the chance that someone will turn on the baby monitor / microwave / tesla coil and you will lose your connection at a pivotal moment in the game.

My daughter uses this wifi adapter for online gaming now, and doesn't experience any significant lag- I know because she hasn't asked me to install an ethernet connection yet. :-)
