I have done the samething you have. the connection is great! The connection is just like an ethernet cable is pluged in. I run everthing wirelessly and my desktop runs online with the AC1200 perfectly.

That is what I use it for and battlefield 4 works great plus all of my other games also, you wont regret it. maybe my router puts out good signal all I know it has good strong connection to wifi

This device should work fine for playing MMO's, however keep in mind that other factors can influence your wifi signal as well. Wifi is great when you need to be portable and/or are unable to run cables. That being said, if you are able to run a cable to a device it will reduce the chance that someone will turn on the baby monitor / microwave / tesla coil and you will lose your connection at a pivotal moment in the game.

Nothing will beat an ethernet connection if you really want a super fast connection. My daughter uses this wifi adapter for online gaming now, and doesn't experience any significant lag- I know because she hasn't asked me to install an ethernet connection yet. :-)

It should be more than capable to run MMO's. I use mine all the time for gaming! However, we both know that running an Ethernet is the better option. ;)

I have no problem with speed using this adapter but I can't say if there will be any lag playing games online. But I have no connection issue with this adapter.
