Yes, but it's better when in to the wall. It's a bit large to just have in a power chord, and I'm not sure you want to risk it banging around on the ground.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would think you could, but like anything else the signal would be weaker. If its a shortage of plugs, you should get the plug covers that change your wall plugs into 6 plugs instead of just 2 and use the main one for this unit.
