If I understand your question, I think the answer is no. The extender is a separate signal and carries its own name, so you will have to set up your devices with that new signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It becomes its own beacon, so you have to choose the SSID (as you would with any wifi). Once setup, your device should seamlessly select it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, just plug in and you are in play...assuming your wireless devices already have your network ID and password.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They do seamlessly connect to your devices, that being said it does create a new wifi network name, just join this network as you did with your wifi router, the password is the same, choose connect automatically, and if you lose signal at your router, you will automatically connect to this range extender, you will never even know you did.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All it requested was my wifi password and it was working!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The instructions say to use a different ssid, which defeats the purpose of a transparent extender. I made the ssid the same, and can't really tell if my mobile device automatically picks up the enhanced signal or not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have to join it from time to time. Sometimes it stays connected to our PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You set it up to you router and add net keys password. And it stays on all the time. Set it once and forget about it.
