You should experience no problem with communications when placing the extender at a position between the TV and the modem's router/WiFi equipment. I am running approximately 60 feet between the modem's WiFi/Router and I'm going through 6 walls which includes the following: two hutches, dual stainless steel ovens bathroom tile, plumbing, and pantry. My signal strengths are very good and measure 55 dBm for 2Ghz and 58 for 5Ghz and I am at a distance of 20' from the extender AND travelling through an additional 4 walls and large bookcase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as signal received from wireless router at extender location was sufficient to boost and rebroadcast.
