The cameras will record from 10 second to 120 second video clips when motion is detected. The storage is in the 'cloud'. The settings/rules/modes for the cameras are all set up in the application or online.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can record up to 2 minutes at a time, triggered manually, or by motion. You can also go as low as 10 seconds if you prefer. You can adjust the sensitivity so you don't get recordings for tiny movement. Video is stored online but you can download your clips. With the free account, 7 days of clips are saved and with the next level up ($10/mo) it saves 30 days of video. Both account levels have caps for the size of the data though. (1GB and 10GB I believe) Nothing is stored on the camera, thus it cannot be removed or increased.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The recording time is cloud based. Once you set up the system it is easily managed by the Arlo smartphone Ap or by your computer. It depends on the level of service you want as to the memory. The base level is Free!!
