NO it cannot AES encryption protects your information. This is the same encryption method that financial institutions use to safeguard user data. AES-128 bit encryption and Transport Layer Security (TSL) ensure that your Arlo camera videos are secure to and from the Arlo camera and base station. •Strict password requirements are in place to keep your account safe. •Account authentication over a secure HTTPS connection prevents eavesdropping. •Limits to login attempts (maximum of 5 login attempts over 5 minutes) prevent bots from guessing your password.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, in theory pretty much anything digital can be hacked, particularly wireless technology. That said, this device acts as a gateway. The hub plugs into your router to access the internet for upload and download of your video streams. The hub itself doesn't broadcast a SSID and is really secure...as an owner, you can't even log into the hub directly. You can only access it through the web/app portal. That said....if your wireless network isn't locked down good, a skilled hacker could certainly find a way in. Likelihood is very low in my opinion, but wireless transmissions do have the potential to be intercepted. Your biggest threat is the physical security of the cameras if you want them outside....they are easily unmounted or taken.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Anything can be hacked. I would however like to think that Arlo being supported by Netgear have some experience in security.
