You can see the LEDs when they are on, but they are not bright enough to light anything up in visible light.

yes, we can see the red IR leds in the dark...it's not bright, but I can notice it.

They are visible at night. They're not too bright, but in a dark room, you would probably see them.

Yes, you do get a red glow. However, it's not bright looking at it outdoors. I'm not sure how it looks in a room.

they are definitely bright enough to see anything within 15-20 feet

No red glow. in small/medium room they would be fine, outdoors they are limited in illumination at night.
