Different functions per separate camera I am looking to buy the Arlo system with 4 camera's. One of the cameras will hang outside of my office, facing the street. People walk there 24/7 and I dont want it to record, purely have it for a live stream. is it possible to give seperate cameras, their individual functions? For example, the 3 cameras inside the office start recording while motion is detected. And the one outside, only a live stream? Thanks!

Yes, it's possible. You can set up sensitivity level to capture motion, set up alert and email message, length of recording per camera. and you can do it from your smartphone app or PC.

Check your local regulations to see whether it is legal to record people on the street. This system is meant to protect your property only, not to be aimed outside those limits. There is a limit to the range. See the Arlo website for a knowledge base and specifics.

These cameras run on batteries, so live streaming is probably not feasible unless you don't mind changing them frequently. They're lithium ions, and not cheap.

You can configure the cameras separately.

Yes, that is totally possible. You can isolate one or more cameras to not have motion detection turned on while others can be activated. Although, I'm not exactly sure why you would want the live stream of a sidewalk (unless it was going to act as a deterrent). Arlo is not a DVR system so you can't go back in time and look at footage. However, if someone called or you saw something on that camera, you could start recording on that camera remotely through the app. If it was placed some place that had a view of your front door, you could use it to see who it out front before coming to the door after-hours. (just ideas.) Good luck!

Yes - you can customize the action by camera, but the schedule is global.

Yes, this can be done easily under rules, simply check those cameras you want on schedule and unchecked those you want off schedule. I have 10 cameras with 1 in garage to see my aging mastiff and 1 in my den, both are not on schedule and only use them to view each live.
