The set I bought has 4 cameras, but when I open the app, it says that I can add one additional camera. There may be larger bases available, but mine will handle up to 5 cameras.

Per the Arlo website you can add up to 5 cameras included in the package available with the base station device purchase and free online account setup, but more can be added if you purchase the additional cameras support. Check arlo.com for the latest details.

You can connect 5 cameras. 4 come in the original package from Best Buy but 1 more can be added according to the instructions.
