I use a 10M/b ADSL connection. 10M/b down and 896kb up, but i believe the hub has a buffer in it to allow slower connections to upload quality video. Mine are always sharp and stutter-free. They look just as good as my mother-in-laws Arlo system on 25M/b down and 5M/b up cable connection.

what your average internet provider offers is sufficient. What is not sufficient is your average router. Purchase a router than can handle many devices at once. The staff at Best Buy helped me pick one out and I have never had a problem with slow internet since, even with multiple devices streaming video at the same time, and the cameras on 24/7.
