“I just bought a new printer canon G3000 and it can only connect to the two desktop computers that need print access by wireless connection. I am not sure if I need to add wireless cards to both pc's or will this work instead.”

I used this adapter to connect my Dell desktop computer which didn’t have a wireless card to my wireless HP printer and it works great. Just make sure that you connect to your wireless network. Also, I find that sometimes and if my desktop shuts down or goes into sleep mode, I have to go into the wireless settings on the desktop and again select my wireless network. Apparently, the adapter has its own network name and defaults to that; I just haven’t taken the time to see if I can change the adapter to default to my home network.
