WILL THIS WORK WITH U-VERSE? null

I have Att Uverse and Att internet service. My external modem is attached to the TV. I am using this Netgear as the wireless adapter for my computer which is running windows 10. It is working wonderfully!

Yes. It should work with any wifi router.

The device uses standard wireless protocols and there should be no reason it would not connect properly to a wireless Uverse modem.

If your Uverse Modem has a Wifi option and it is setup correctly, then there should be no reason your USB PC/laptop/tablet wouldn't connect to the Wifi network with this device. I think you have to have some sort of human interface to load the drivers/set up the Wifi connection. I didn't try to use it in some plug n play mode with a non-PC device.
