• You can never hook this up to 220 without somehow reducing the power coming in first, a transformer is definitely necessary. The transformers aren't very hard to build and I'm sure they are probably cheap enough to buy.

• My router ac adapter shows “input: 110-240 volts” on the label. But keep in mind that wifi frequencies differ a bit from country to country. At worst you will be limited to those in common with the US.
