Are the satellites wired, wireless, or both? null

I don’t think they can be run as a daisy chain, but each unit has one Ethernet port on it. Except for the router which has the input and the Ethernet port. They connect through their own dynamic wireless connection.

Main router is wired to cable modem. Two other satellites are wireless but you can hardwire an ethernet cable as an output on each unit.

It looks like, if needed, you can backhaul connect the satellites, but otherwise, it is a really easy setup right out of the box.
