The mesh system will extend your current router coverage through your house/condo/apt. You’ll plug run an Ethernet cable (included) from your current router to the nighthawk router, and then set up the 2 satellites. I just moved into a condo about a month ago and picked up the nighthawk mesh system because my condo is very long with concrete walls. Prior to installing the mesh system I was not getting a signal at all on the far end of my condo. After installing, I am getting very good results. I have gig service coming into my unit and average about 923mbps on all three mesh routers. I’ve been extremely happy with the results. He sure to read the instructions and make the satellites are in range of each other. Pretty simple to set up as well. Hope that helps a little.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Replaces or in concert. It is 1 Router unit and. 2 Satellites but you can configure it for Access Point mode and it can be used in addition to your router. I can’t say what features you may lose in that mode.
