“I'm looking to extend my wifi signal but didn't know if this was compatible. I have an older extender that doesn't really work and has it's own separate wifi signal. I wanted to have one signal that all the electronics can be controlled from.”

This one uses the same WiFi name and password that you have now. You connect just like you would without it
