“I have Xfinity and I plugged this in and went through the start manual. It showed all green and a network came up, but the name was Netgear_ext, not my home network. I went to the website and did not find the New Extender setup as in the manual.”

• Check your setup again. When the setup cycles thru the question prompts, one of them will have you enter your current home wifi name. Then, at the end, you will see your current wifi name plus _2GEXT and _5GEXT. So, when your setup is complete, you will have three home wifi names instead of one.
