Your question is somewhat vague, but in my response I am presuming that your are asking what default encryption does this device come with. If that be the case you could go to the following link link: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/R8000/R8000_UM_8Jul14.pdf for the device manual. 1) Hit CTRL + F on your keyboard, after the manual is populated in your browser. 2) Type: WPA in the search box 3) Just hit the Enter key to see each information I think the following pages should best provide answer to your question: Pages 4, 11, 13, 14, 18, and 19.
