You need to buy the 2 piece orbi.. you can only use a extenders if you have a main router. So to buy this single one can be added to a 2 piece orbi to make it a 3 pc. Hope this helps.

You need to have an Orbi Wi-Fi 6 Router that this connects to (which you can have connected to your modem using a network cable). This basically just extends your wifi. Our main Orbi router is in our house and we have a satellite like this in our detached man cave.
