• No, it only operates on cable connected to modem with one unit and the other one connected to a computer or TV, etc.

• No uses an ethernet cord, sends signal thru your electrical system. One unit sends signal the other receives signal.

• Yes it does I have gotten faster speeds on my internet with higher and more consistent download and upload speed. I recommend looking at your areas WiFi speed to determine what product you should get.
