In my opinion FLASE! this whole system is based on using air. Essentially, it curls or straightens your hair as it dries it. Yes the “hair dryer” attachment is not meant to solely dry your hair, but that is because it is used in conjunction to the other attachments to style your hair. But in my opinion you DO NOT need a separate hair dryer. This does it.

While the Dyson Airwrap™ styler can be used on damp hair, it is meant to be an extension to the Dyson Supersonic™ (or your usual hair dryer) to be a styler rather than a hair dryer. The Airwrap is a styling tool, but unlike other styling tools on the market, the hair is not required to be completely dry to use, but we do recommend that the hair is not completely wet.
