This DVR system can be used and operated without the use of internet or a network setup. During the initial set up process of the DVR, it allows you to skip the network/Internet set up portion of it. You can always go back and set up the network portion of the system if you want at a later time. As long as you have a monitor and the mouse that it comes with, you can do everything you need to from the DVR itself. ** For advanced users; The DVR does have the capability to access it through remote access, without the use of the app as well.
