what is the difference between channel and camera? null

each camera needs a seperate . channel to record. wired? each camera has a seperate wire that goes from camera to a channel on the box #1-2-3-4.

The channel is the amount of cameras the DVR is able to have connected to it, and the cameras is how many cameras the system comes with. With this specific system you may add 4 additional cameras since it has 8-channels and it only comes with 4-cameras. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.
