How are they in total darkness, type looking thru at night, thank you null

They do not have any night vision so are not good for total darkness.

We used them to watch the active volcano in Hawaii and could really see the volcano well which was approximately one mile away. It was pitch dark in the National Park in Hawaii at night and it was foggy and raining but we could see very well with these binoculars. Very pleased with them at night and for daytime use.

The Nikon Aculon A211 8x42 Binoculars will not work in total darkness as they do not have night vision technology; Nikon does not produce any binoculars with this type of technology.

Sorry, I never used them at night. I think night viewing would require night vison glasses
