“Has anyone noticited the lens making a knocking noise when it is focusing?”

Verify that you are getting sharp results that are consistent with this lens. Since it is an extremely sharp lens, if you are hearing the knocking noise and aren't getting optimal results, you may want to consider contacting Nikon to verify that there is not any issue. Please try again later.I'm not sure what your experience level is but could it be possible that you are simply to close and the camera isn't able to focus which is making it jump back and forth focusing left and right? Making a knock noise? I haven't experienced this with mine no.
