Yes, there is a "sports" setting for action which can also take multiple shots on one click - a great sports feature!

Placing it in Scene Sports will allow the camera to capture about 5 images continuously at a rate of 5 frames per second. You can also place it on a continuous setting in Auto mode for things such as fast moving wildlife. This camera does have a PSAM mode dial which will allow you to manually choose shutter speed, aperture, and many other settings for your shooting situation. This camera does not use interchangeable lenses.
