Can you take this camera underwater? null

The Nikon COOLPIX W100 digital camera is rated equivalent to JIS/IEC waterproof class 8 (IPX8)and can shoot images underwater at a depth of 10m, or 33 feet, for up to 60 minutes.

While we have not yet taken it snorkeling in the ocean, it's been in pools, ponds and lakes with no issues. My son is very careful to always clean it after each underwater use, so that helps keep debris out of the seals when opening/closing. I'm surprised how good the pictures/videos underwater are, even in pretty murky fishing spots.
