- A:Answer The Nikon COOLPIX W100 Waterproof Digital Camera has a standby mode of three minutes and will shut down after three minutes of inactivity. Pressing the on/off button when the camera is off or when in standby will allow you to use the camera within seconds. The COOLPIX W100 will default to the last shooting mode you were using before turning the camera off but can quickly be placed in another scene mode or auto mode. This camera has a "Reset all" option which can allow you to bring all settings back to original default settings with only a few button pushes.

- A:Answer The Nikon COOLPIX W100 digital camera has a variety of modes, settings, and effects to help you create amazing images, even in low light situations. This camera has a number of night style scenes to choose from, such as night scene, fireworks and light trails that allow you take quality images when it's dark out. There is also a backlit scene for when very bright and dark areas are in the same frame, which can create an HDR composite image where loss of details is minimized. For images that need more or less light there is an exposure compensation option in the camera which allows you to adjust the overall brightness level of the image as you take it. This camera also has a built-in flash for times when there is a need for more light.
