The Nikon COOLPIX W100 camera has an option that allows you to mute all sounds when using the camera to take stills or videos, however, you may still hear some sounds of multi-selector operation, autofocus lens drive moment and aperture operation when there are brightness changes. This camera can record Full HD video at a resolution of 1080p, with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

• The simple answer is yes. I use it when I go fishing, a bit different than you, but I find it very quiet. But more important, water-proof.
