The Nikon COOLPIX W100 Waterproof Digital Camera has a standby mode of three minutes and will shut down after three minutes of inactivity. Pressing the on/off button when the camera is off or when in standby will allow you to use the camera within seconds. The COOLPIX W100 will default to the last shooting mode you were using before turning the camera off but can quickly be placed in another scene mode or auto mode. This camera has a "Reset all" option which can allow you to bring all settings back to original default settings with only a few button pushes.
