Images with a sharp focal point and a creamy, blurred background, otherwise known as bokeh, are completely possible to capture with the Nikon D3400 camera. This is usually achieved by using a lens with a fast aperture of 2.8, 1.8 or faster, but can be achieved with other lenses by decreasing the distance between the camera and subject and having the background in a far distance behind the subject.
